Education Transaction Status

The Education Transaction Status screen is used to create and store transaction status options to be assigned to employees attending education tracking classes.

These status options determine whether the employee Passed the class, so that the course education requirement is satisfied.

  The Education Transaction Status options that are available on the Transaction Entry screens have been previously set up on the Configuration section>Education Tracking card>Education Transaction Status screen. There are a number of standard codes but additional codes can be added by authorized users

  Note: Only transaction status options that are set with the Passed field set to Yes will satisfy the course requirement.

  The following Standard Transaction Status options are available for selection:

  Passed	The employee attended the class and completed all the requirements to pass, including a passing score (if required).
  Canceled	The employee was enrolled in the class, but then the class was canceled.
  Failed	The employee attended the class but did not achieve the minimum score required to successfully complete the course/competency requirement.
  Incomplete	The employee did not complete all the criteria necessary to meet the course/competency requirements.
  No Show	The employee did not attend the class, and did not contact an authorized user with the reason for not attending.
  Withdrawn	The employee was enrolled in the class, but withdrew his/her enrollment.

• User defined status codes can be added in this screen and edited.
• Existing status codes can be replicated and edited.

To add a new Education Transaction Status code, complete the following steps:

1. Open the Configuration section>Education Tracking card>Education Transaction Status screen.
2. Click on the Add button in the left pane to create a new record.
3. Enter a Code and Description to identify this Education Transaction Status code.

   The label describing the education transaction status code.

   The short, alphanumeric value identifying this education transaction status record.

4. The Classification is automatically set to User Defined.

   Indicates whether this record classification is standard, customer, user defined, or replicated.

   More About Classification Options

   The Classification options are as follows:

   Standard	A record that is core to the system and included for all clients.
   Customer	A record that was custom designed for a specific client.
   User-Defined	A record that was created by a user in the system. When a new record is entered in the screen by clicking on the Add button, it is automatically given a status of User-Defined.
   Replicated	A record that was copied from an existing record, and then updated to change certain settings. When a new record is created by clicking on the Replicate button, it is automatically given a status of Replicated.

5. Set the Active field to Yes to activate this code. If the code is to be activated at a future date or if the code is to be disabled, set this value to No.

   Indicates whether this status record is currently active in the system able to be assigned (Yes/No).

6. In the Passed field, indicate whether this code indicates that the employee has passed the course requirements. Only classes with an Education Transaction Status code with the Passed field set to Yes will fulfill the education requirements of the related course.

   Indicates whether this Education Transaction Status satisfies the education requirement (Yes/No).
